I'm going on a trip! A cousin is going to show me around their city so I can see if I may like to live there. If I didn't mention, I live in a conservative US state and last year figured out I'm trans. Not an ideal combination, so I'm hoping to move somewhere else in the country where I have more legal protections and better healthcare options and so on. It will be weird, mostly because I've never lived very far from my immediate family. I think it could be a great change though.
Other things...
- HRT is continuing very slowly. Today is day 148 according to my calendar. Not a lot of changes still, but there have been some. I'm looking into taking voice masculinization lessons.
- I'm still working my way through that Fire Emblem game I talked about before. Almost to the plot split, finally. Long game!
- Lunar New Year, Mardi Gras, and the start of Ramadan all fell on the same day this year (last Tuesday, Feb 17th).
- I got a bonus at my job! And a raise! I've never gotten a bonus before. Or a raise.
Trying to find time for creative things like this lil blog. I translated a Japanese song the other day so I could show my friend the lyrics. I've been writing fanfiction on and off, and occasionally sketching a bit. Listening to music as always. Currently into Club Carter Radio, a YouTube channel that posts weekly music radio shows with a DJ. I like the DJ a lot and the music is always excellent.
I'm also rediscovering STRAY SHEEP by Kenshi Yonezu. I'm a huge Kenshi Yonezu fan already, but I hadn't really listened to the lyrics on this album very closely until recently. It's got a lot of really romantic songs. The lyrics are straightforward (good for a language learner like me) but still feel meaningful. Lemon is of course a masterpiece, and there's not a song on the album that I don't like. Give it a listen! For me.
PASSEPIED (my favorite band) released a new single, U.N.O. Awesome MV, and totally different from their last MV for Bonnou Go West. Love these guys. Love these guys. Wish I could get their albums at my local record store instead of Amazon. Love these guys.
